1974 Dodge Charger By Dwayne Carlock
This is my Mopar:
Here's a set of pics of a 1974 Dodge Charger SE Brougham. Muscle power was dying, but was not completely dead (on life support maybe). But still barely alive and this 1974 has a 400 magnum engine. Sure, horsepower had fallen on hard times, but engines can be taken to recovery from intensive care. While original outside, they can be helped along inside, not that any purist would really do that! In reality, the car pictured was recently acquired because it is a survivor. Note the following
1974 Dodge Charger SE Brougham, Original matching # car, 400 Magnum engine, Auto trans/full console, Rally gauge package, A/C, P/S, P/B, Original white vinyl top, upholstery, dash, carpet, headliner, AM/FM radio, etc. all in very good shape without need for replacement.
Original wheels, special ordered with the car (I was told) Trim have a few dings. Car was given a fresh coat of paint last year (not great, but better than nothing as the old paint was getting thin and very dull), unfortunately the painter managed to overspray on the vinyl top, some trim, the bumper pads, and even the filler moldings even the tires! Now this has got to come off! Reason for purchase? Well, in the dark ages as a young man I bought a 73 Satellite Sebring Plus triple black w/ 440 magnum, auto, ps/pb, a/c, the works including 8 track. With a red side stripe and the ventilated chrome extensions on the exhaust. Beautiful car, and can't find now. So the Charger came available and I bought the ol' girl as a survivor.
