1971 Dodge Dart Swinger By Jerry Engle - Update
This is my Mopar:
I wanted to send some updated pictures and information of my 13:00 second hyper-pak powered Dodge Dart Swinger. It was built by several kids that are fighting cancer here in the Washington, DC area. It took 1-1/2 years and over 1,000 labor hours to build the dart the way it is here. We collected used parts from area mopar recycling yards to save some money so we could build the motor, transmission and rear axle so the dart would be capable of 12-13 second quarter mile times.
The Engine Specs: 225 Slant six bored 0.60 over * 10:5.1 Flat Top Pistons * Racer Brown Cam 540.lift 1.77 Intake 1.44 Exhaust Valves * Cylinder Head Shaved 0.100 Ported & Polished * 340 Valve Springs * 1.5.1 Roller Rocker Arms * 3 Angle Valve Cut* Hyper-Pak Intake * Edelbrock 650cfm * NOS Power Shot 150hp * Clifford Split Headers 2 1/2 Exhaust.
Drivetrain Specs: A-904 Pro-Street Trans * Tci Full Race Manuel Valve Body * 3.500 Mopar Stall Converter * Mopar Performance Deep Pan * Custom Built Wrench Shifter.

All Accessories: Jaz Racing Fuel Cell * Dual Optima Batteries * Hurst Line-Lok * Roll Cage * Sniper 150 NOS System * Auto-Meter Gauges * Dual Electric Fans * MSD 6 AL w Rev Limiter * MSD Coil * Holley Blue Pump w/ Regulator, Mopar Performance Frame Connectors * Driveshaft Loop * Competition Slide-A-Link* Oil Filter Relocation Kit * Tom Yancer Funny Car Wheel * Full Toogle Switches.
Best Times with the 4:56 gears and 150 hp shot has put the hyper-pak dart into the high 12's. This is my only car and is my everyday driver that spins 4:10 gears for daily driving chores. During the cold winter months a portable heater and snow tires are mounted back on for winter driving duties. The Dart has logged over 10,000 miles already and just completed the trip to Chrysler At Carlisle in PA. Getting 12 miles to the gallon and burning over 110 gallons of fuel for the road trip. Me and the kids hope you enjoy the pictures :)
Sincerly, Jerry Engle & Friends
