Mopar Car Of The Month February 2025:

1965 Plymouth Valiant/Barracuda, 273 V8 2 bbl, automatic transmission. Ruby red, red interior, no power steering or brakes, radio delete. 73,000 miles showing. Car was bought new on 9/21/65 in El Paso, Texas. The owner lived in Sunland Park, NM and this is where it remained with the original owner until 2020 when purchased by its second owner who lived in Cloudroft, NM about 100 miles north of El Paso. I purchased the car on 12/15/24 and brought it to my home, about 150 miles from where it was in Cloudcroft. I was given the original dealer invoice dated Sept 21, 1965; total sale price $2587.00. Previous owner had replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, plugs, brake master cylinder, all four brake drums, all rubber brake lines, as well as new front carpet. My plans are to check all the mechanicals, clean and re upholster the interior as needed, buff up the paint and enjoy it, at least for now..
