1966 Plymouth Barracuda By Bill Marchese
This Is My Mopar:
Just purchased a 1966 barracuda formula S 4 speed, factory A/C, heat, disc brakes, citron gold black interior. Has everything original even the spark wires. Carter carb 4 Barrel has the original 14 inch hubcaps just over 100,000 miles off the road since 1980 not one dent but car sat for a few years in the Arizona sun and paint is deeply faded interior need replacement dry rotted and some mice got to the headliner. It was moved to a barn in Pennsylvania in 1985 and has sat there since.
I have to complete a full restoration. seats had covers placed over the original seats, thought for sure the sheet would have been long gone. But as soon as it was delivered I lifted the rear seat behind the drivers seat and surprised to find the broadcast sheet in almost perfect condition. There is a motor on the pass fender well appears to be for wiper spray but no reservoir. One side says wip with hose going to wiper area the other side says res no hose there missing...the inside is as well is 100% original, headliner stitching separated as the visors same. Carpet is complete no holes cigarette lighter like new. I am very impressed with the overall condition solid solid car......the first owner ordered it direct. (4 speed, console, disc brakes, retractable seat belts, Formula S package, with Air conditioning. I started the engine after a oil change and plugs points. It runs beautiful of a can of gas, needs new tank. Shifts as it should and clutch engages properly with no effort, brakes are a bit shaky. This will be a great project driving as a barn find.
