1970 Dodge Coronet R/T By Justin Cardon
Mopar Car Of The Month August 2017:
1970 Dodge Coronet R/T. Vin number WS23U0E107658. I purchased this car in Arkansas in 2004 and shipped it here to New Zealand. It spent all its life in Whittier and Torrence in California except for the last 4 years where it lived in St Louis. It is a Numbers matching 440 and trans. It is #2 of 11 in vin sequence of all Coronet RT's accounted for at LA calif plant as per Galen Registry. Car is correct FK5 burnt orange, it has incorrect wood steering wheel, and I'm looking for original burnt orange vinyl one. It has factory disc brakes, rallye gauges, ramcharger hood. Mileage 132,000 engine rebuilt 2 years ago to factory specs. Electronic ignition will be replaced with original point system, yet to go in. Car has Rallye wheels but I now have put steel wheels with hubcaps on and still trying to find out if all RT's had them color coded to the car or if they were just black. My tag shows no special wheel option stamped on it. I am the 6th owner from information from two previous U.S. owner who tracked this car down here in NZ.
