Mopar Car Of The Month for
August 2011: We recently finished a year long
frame off transformation on our 1936 Dodge Brothers Business Coupe.
The car now rides on all new suspension, Billet Specialties wheels
and Diamondback tires. An all new Dodge 496 stroker was built using
440 Source, MOPAR, Comp Cam, and Mallory all topped with a Barry
Grant Six Shooter. Exhaust exits through a set of Sanderson headers
and makes its way to Flowmasters through 2-1/2" aluminized pipe.
Cooling is accomplished using a Walker radiator and electric fan.
Power gets to the ground though a beefed 727 with a shift kit hooked
to a sure grip with 3:23 gears. Body mods include Hagan tail lights,
recessed gas filler, a polished stainless steel firewall and a one
piece hood top with a Dan Fink hinge/latch set up. The paint is PPG
Vibrance Line "Oh So Sexy" red. Inside an interior consisting of
fabbed amenities covered in combos of paint, wood burl, polished
stainless steel and white vinyl, topped with a Billet Specialties
steering wheel. A retractable license plate helps in those "Get out
of Dodge moments!"
