440's Mopar Truck Of The Month for
April 2011: 1956 Dodge D100 Pick Up Truck. This
was given to me when I was 14 years old, just an old farm truck my
dad paid $50.00 for. I have had it for 34 years. I did most of this
work myself along with a couple of good friends. Engine is a 1969
340, S&S headers, adjustable lifters, electronic ignition (hidden
box)750 Edelbrock carb, mild purple shaft cam etc. has a 727 tranny,
Ford 9 inch rear, custom exhaust. Frame off modifications include
Mustang II front clip with rack and pinion. 4 wheel disc brakes,
custom rear roll pan and front bumper. Hidden battery in the rear.
All body lines are welded in and filled, lights are frenched in.
Power windows, tilt wheel, 8 way power seat out of an Olds Toronado.
Paint is Dodge Stealth Red with Chameleon flames. Rims are Mopar
factory with the rears widened to 10" and Hoosier radials all
around.
