1969 Plymouth Barracuda By

My 1969 Barracuda started life as a 6
cylinder. "Boring". I Created a street beast by adding a 69 HP2 440,
stroking it to 502 C.I, adding a dual tunnel ram intake, porting the
heads, decked the block, added a VooDoo Cam, etc. and you have a
650hp Street/Track Monster. The car has a built 727 with a reverse
manual shift tranny and a 3800 stall converter, Pushing the beast is
a Posi 430 geared 8 3/4 shortened axle rear-end. Holding the car
from twisting up are a pair of frame connectors. This car ran at
Englishtown Raceway Park last October and I was thrown out out for
lack of safety gear after the car ran an 11:09 @ 121 mph. That was
right out of the box without adjusting any carbs or timing. This is
a nasty sounding old school Mopar street car with all muscle power
(No Bottle Here). |

She has real old school looks to here with the
silver flamed hood and metal flaked Bahama blue paint job that is 20
years old now, but you can shave in her reflection. Just driving
this beast will put a smile on your face from ear to ear. I call her
the "Devil Fish" and she earns that name. The older generation
looks/smiles and remembers what it was when these cars ran the
streets in their youths. The younger generation look at her and get
a puzzled look as to what type of car it is. I smile at them when a
mustang meets me at a light and laugh when they try in vain to catch
me. She's not the the fastest car on the street (Lord Knows) but the
way she looks, sounds and performs makes all that hard earned dough
I spent building here worth it.
Thanks,
