1977 Plymouth Volare
Premier By Kyle Bowers |

When I found this 1977 Plymouth Volare
Premier in Duncanville TX in May of 2009 it was owned by the
daughter of the original owner and was under a heavy car cover with
blankets covering the entire interior. I was told the car had not
been started in 2 years, the car had a for sale sign in the window
as the owner told me her late husband had tried to sell the car in
2007. When it didn't sell he parked it and covered it up with the
attitude of if I can't get $3,500 for it I won't sell it.
I paid $1,350 without even trying to start it, installed a new
battery a can of Berryman Chemtool, filled the tank with Super
Unleaded and drove it 100 miles home. It ran rough at first but by
the time I arrived at home it was running a lot better. Every thing
works except the clock. The cruise control works off and on, the
radio has some static and noise from dried out capacitors. I had it
passed inspection with flying colors this week. I plan on driving it
for a while to work out any other small bugs and see what happens, I
might keep it or sell if if the right offer comes along.
