1974 Plymouth Fury
II. 400 2bbl with 36,222 miles. Sunfire Yellow. My father car.
Purchased new in June 1974. I still remember standing with him in
the showroom. I was 9. I talked him into the yellow one over the
black 4 door sedan. Dad cherished this car, storing it every winter
and not allowing a cigarette within 100 feet. It was a second car so
it was only used on weekends. It has spent maybe half it's 35 years
in storage. Dad passed away Feb 08 and left me "our" car. After
sitting for at least 5 years, I dropped in a new battery, crossed my
fingers and after 3 or 4 tries she fired up. My plan is to
concentrate on maintenance items this summer and maybe new paint
sometime soon. She's in storage this winter but I'll be parking her
in my garage this summer. Should be interesting. The car is 220"
long, my garage 226".
