I'm 16 and I purchased my own 1966
Barracuda about a month or two ago for $3,000. Despite what you may
think, I pursued and purchased the car all on my own.
It all started
when I went to the Turkey Run at Daytona speedway. I searched all
day for a 1966 Barracuda and it just so happens that I found one.
The price was set at $4,500 so I copied the phone number in my cell
phone, then forgot about it. Months passed and I finally decided to
give the guy a call. $3,500 was the price he gave me, so I kept on
working and saving my money until I reached $3,000. I finally worked
up the courage to give the guy another call, and what do you know,
the Barracuda was mine.
The car is in great condition and has all original parts (at least
to my knowledge). It has a 273 V8 (not a Formula S unfortunately)
which is running perfectly fine. The only problems I've had were a
bad transmission gasket and pan gasket which I have already taken
care of. As you can tell from the Pictures I also need to replace
the windshield. I'm the third owner of the car, with documentation
from the first owner. The car has also spent it's entire life in the
Orlando area.
I've always had a great love for the Barracuda, and it means more
then the world to me that I now own one. I have my dream car, and
I'm only 16 :)
