1970 Dodge Hemi
Challenger R/T Convertible By

This is the mystery machine
that sent me down the long road of being forever a mopar guy. It is a
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T convertible with the 426hemi. Yes, I know
there were only nine of these ever made. Unfortunately, this picture
was taken of it in 1970. My father owned the car and sold it the next
year. It is an interesting story about how he bought it (new) from the
Dodge dealership in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. But, as with most things
like that, he didn't have any idea how rare or valuable it was at the
time, so he ended up selling it the next year. If its out there
somewhere, I hope someday to see it, as it has become somewhat of a
family legend. |
